Costa Rica SHB EP Fancy Don Claudio Ecotact
Costa Rica
Description
This coffee is sourced from the Brunca region of southern Costa Rica, an area characterized by irregular topography,
fertile volcanic soil, and abundant rivers that create ideal conditions for specialty coffee production. Farms in this
region are typically located at 1,400 to 1,900 meters above sea level, where cooler mountain climates slow cherry
maturation and develop greater flavor complexity, vibrant acidity, and a clean, sweet finish. Brunca’s rich
biodiversity and pristine natural environment contribute to its unique coffee profile, making it one of Costa Rica’s
most distinct and exciting growing regions.
This lot is produced by CoopeAgri, a cooperative founded in 1962 to support small- and medium-scale farmers in
the San Isidro de El General area. Today, it proudly represents over 6,000 members from small communities,
villages, and even single-family farms. Beyond buying and processing coffee, CoopeAgri actively invests in its
members’ well
