Bolivia SHB EP WASHED

Bolivia

Description

Hernesto was born in the Camacho province of the department of La Paz. Due to limited opportunities in his hometown, his father decided to move the family to the Yungas region, specifically Caranavi. Hernesto was 12 years old when he first saw a coffee plant. Under the guidance of his parents, he learned how to cultivate coffee. Ten years after their move to Caranavi, he purchased his own farm. Hernesto and his wife, Maria, have since built their family and now have three children.

In 2017, they began focusing on producing specialty coffees to improve their economic situation. Ernesto continues to enhance his skills in coffee production. In 2020, he completed an international course in Q Processing offered by the Coffee Quality Institute (CQI).

SHB (Strictly Hard Bean) accounts for beans that are cultivated at altitudes of 1,300 M and above. This results in a slower maturation process that enhances flavor complexity.

EP (European Preparation), represents beans that are screen size 15+ and meticulously sorted and cleaned to ensure coffee is free from defects and impurities.
