Established in 2012, the Cafescor Cooperative thrives under the leadership of Joel López, a fourth-generation coffee entrepreneur. The wet mill is located in Las Casitas and the dry mill is in Jimilile, both within the Corquín, Copan region. There are 131 producer partners, including 37 women and 94 men working across 400 hectares. Cafescor’s commitment to excellence, sustainability, and quality procedures, propels them towards global recognition, all while honoring the coffee traditions that have been cherished for generations.
SHG (Strictly High Grown), accounts for beans that are cultivated at altitudes of 1,300 M and above. This results in a slower maturation process that enhances flavor complexity. EP (European Preparation), represents beans that are meticulously sorted and cleaned to ensure coffee is free from defects and impurities.
